The United States is nearly $22 trillion dollars in debt.

American debt has risen by more than $2 trillion since Donald Trump became president two years ago. How have we, as a nation, become so profligate and irresponsible while our economy has been in the second longest economic expansion since World War II? Why is government spending increasing while tax receipts are dropping?
